Credit Controller (Grade 8)

Applications are being invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacancy that has arisen within Makoni Rural District Council.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identifying changes in socio-economic environment and propose action to avert losses.
• Analysing debt and recommending appropriate action to management.
• Assist in accounting activities which include financial management, debt management and banking.
• Submit reports to the Treasurer on debt management.
• Initiate legal proceedings if the debts are not paid within the agreed timeframe.
• Reconciling debtors' account and resolving debtors account queries.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum HND or degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
• At least three years relevant experience.
• A clean record of service.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing debt collection.
• Membership of a recognized professional body is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• A clean Class 4 driver's license.
