About the Role
Job Purpose
The Mechanical Fitter will carry out planned preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, installation, commissioning and precision fitting of mechanical equipment and components to support continuous plant availability, equipment reliability and compliance with SHEQ requirements.

Requirements
- National Certificate / Class 1 Journeyman Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting and Machining.
- Apprenticeship training in Mechanical Fitting and Machining.
- Minimum of 3–5 years' post-apprenticeship experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
- Experience in manufacturing, mining, municipal services, power generation or related plant operations will be an added advantage.
- Additional training in pumps, hydraulics, conveyors, rotating equipment or preventive maintenance systems will be an added advantage.
