PR & Marketing Manager

Reports to: CEO & Executive Chairman
Location: Harare

Job Summary:
To lead and manage the company's public relations, brand positioning, stakeholder communication and marketing initiatives in support of business growth, service delivery, regulatory credibility and community trust within the waste management sector. The role is accountable for developing and executing communication and marketing strategies that strengthen corporate reputation, support contract retention and acquisition, promote customer awareness, and ensure consistent messaging across internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, Media Studies or a related field.
• A master's degree or professional qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Strategic Communication or Business Management is an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, marketing, brand management or stakeholder engagement, preferably within waste management, environmental services, infrastructure, utilities or a service-based industry.
• Proven track record in developing and executing communication campaigns, managing media relations, coordinating stakeholder engagement and supporting brand visibility or business development initiatives.

Certifications

• Professional certification or membership in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or Brand Management is an added advantage.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication, media relations, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong knowledge of brand management, campaign planning, digital marketing, social media management, content development and corporate reputation management.
• Ability to prepare press releases, speeches, reports, proposals, company profiles, marketing collateral and crisis communication materials with accuracy and professionalism.
