About the Role

Queen of Peace Clothing Factory (fixed-term contract)

Qualifications and Experience:
At least a Certificate in Tailoring, Garment Construction, Fashion Design, or a related field plus at least one (1) year proven experience in tailoring and garment production.

Person Specification:

  • Ability to operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment;
  • Good knowledge of garment cutting, stitching, fitting, and finishing techniques;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines;
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality;
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cutting, sewing, and assembling garments according to approved specifications and quality standards;
  • Operating and maintaining industrial sewing machines and related equipment;
  • Performing alterations, repairs, and finishing of garments as required;
  • Ensuring production targets are met within stipulated timelines;
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control;
  • Keeping the work area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety requirements;
  • Assisting in stock management and proper utilisation of fabrics and accessories;
  • Undertaking any other duties assigned by the Factory Supervisor.
