About the Role
Two Underwriters (reporting to the Senior Underwriter) to assess insurance risks, determine coverage and ensure policies are profitable, compliant and meet customer needs.
Duties
- Assess insurance applications and evaluate client information (claims history, financial records).
- Accept, decline or modify proposals per underwriting guidelines; determine premiums, terms, conditions and coverage limits.
- Ensure decisions comply with company policy, regulations and legal requirements; liaise with brokers, agents and clients.
- Maintain accurate underwriting records; ensure timely issuance of quotations, policies and renewals; prepare reports.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Actuarial Science, Business Studies, Economics or a related field.
- Professional insurance qualifications (ACII, Diploma in Insurance or equivalent) an advantage.
- 2–5 years' underwriting experience depending on the level.
- Strong analytical, risk-assessment, numerical and negotiation skills; computer literacy.
